• Biography of Assemblyman Steven J. Corodemus
  
  In November of 2005, Assemblyman Corodemus was re-elected to his eighth term as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly. He represents the 11th Legislative District that is comprised of 25 Monmouth county municipalities.
  
  Leadership: Presently, Assemblyman Corodemus serves as the Chairman of the Assembly Republican Policy Committee. His colleagues recognized him as a leader among leaders and have elected him to a leadership post over the years. The Assemblyman is also a member of the Joint Committee on Ethical Standards.
  
  Experience: Assemblyman Corodemus is currently a member of the General Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee. In his third term the Speaker of the Assembly appointed Assemblyman Corodemus as Chairman of the Assembly Environment, Science and Technology Committee, where he served as chairman for six years. He served on the following committees; Budget; Appropriations, Economic Development; Education; Financial Institutions; Health; Housing; and Insurance and Banking. Assemblyman Corodemus has also been a member of several other legislative committees, such as the New Jersey State Beach Erosion Commission and COAST – Clean Ocean and Shore Trust Committee of New Jersey and New York. He has served as President of the Atlantic Highlands Borough Council and as Vice Chairman of the Monmouth County Planning Board.
  
  Assemblyman Corodemus chaired Governor Whitman’s Dredge Material Management Team. The team was credited with keeping Port Newark a thriving transportation and economic engine for the Metropolitan region, while stopping the practice of dumping contaminated mud into the ocean.
  
  He also served as Chairman of the Gubernatorial Lake Restoration Task Force.
  
  Record: Assemblyman Corodemus has been the prime sponsor of 100 laws. Among these are:

Family: The Assemblyman has resided in Atlantic Highlands for 30 years. He is married and has two children.
